Delete your VoLex data
Last updated: 30 September 2026
VoLex is published by Jasur Amirov. This page explains how to delete the data
associated with the VoLex apps — Android (uz.volex) and iOS. You do
not need to install the app or sign in to use this page.
Fastest way: delete it yourself in the app
Open VoLex → Settings → Delete all data → confirm.
This immediately and permanently deletes:
- every word and word group you created;
- all voice recordings and cached media stored on your device;
- your cloud backup — the Google Drive app data folder on Android, or
iCloud on iOS;
- the usage statistics already sent to our server (see “Usage statistics”
below).
VoLex does not create an account on our servers, so there is no account left
behind after this.
If you no longer have the app
Email jasur.uz.soyabon@gmail.com
with the subject "VoLex data deletion". Send it from the address
you signed in with, or include your device identifier. We reply and complete the
deletion within 30 days.
What we hold, and what happens to it
- Request counters. When you use AI enrichment or
translation, our server records a device identifier and a per-day
request count, to apply the free daily limit and stop abuse. These records
are deleted on request.
- AI cache. Generated content is cached keyed by a hash of
the request. It contains the word and the generated text, not your name,
email or any account identifier, and is not tied to you.
- Organisation licence. If you redeemed an access code from
your organisation, we keep the code and the device identifier that
redeemed it for the life of the licence, because it is required to operate
it and to count seats. Ask your organisation administrator to release the
seat, or write to the address above.
- Your name and email. We never store them on our servers.
They stay on your device and are used only to label your backup.
Usage statistics
While “Usage statistics” is on (Settings → Privacy), the app sends our server
daily counts of how its features were used, together with a random identifier
created for statistics only. They contain no words, no text you typed and no
name or email. The app sends only the calendar date, never a time of day; our
server records the time (UTC, by its own clock) it last received each day's
counts. That time is not used in our reports and is deleted together with the
statistics. The full list is in the privacy policy.
This identifier is not linked to your device identifier, and we hold no
account, so we cannot find your statistics from an email request. Delete them
in the app instead:
- Settings → Privacy → turn off “Usage statistics” — deletes
the statistics already sent and stops sending new ones;
- Settings → Delete My Data — also deletes the statistics
already sent. If statistics stay on, a new random identifier is created
and nothing is linked to the old one.
If your device is offline at that moment, the app sends the deletion request
again later. Statistics are otherwise deleted automatically after 400 days,
including when you no longer have the app.
